April 26 Update: 3 Months Old!

Matthew has been in the hospital for 90 whole days. It’s been quite the adventure.

This afternoon, he had his G-Tube surgery, and it went just fine. His recovery has been sad since he was not allowed to eat for a few hours before the surgery and 6 hours afterward— so he’s been really hungry—and he’s also in a lot of pain. They are only able to give him Tylenol and snuggles to help with that unfortunately. But we are enjoying those snuggles. 🥰

The surgery was pretty fast (30 ish minutes), but it took him a little longer than usual to get back to the room because of his breathing/oxygen levels.

Matthew should be discharged tomorrow (April 27). 😀 The staff members here have been very kind but we do miss our family at McKay-Dee so so much.

We cannot wait to get him home! 🥰
