March 13 Update

Weight: 2220 g (4 lbs 14 oz)…about the same as yesterday

Length: 45 cm (We have no idea how he was 40 cm last week and 45 cm this week. Something was off with last week’s measurement…unless he’s super kid 😆).

Head Size: 30.5 cm (also a little larger than expected 🤷‍♀️…last week it was 29 cm)

Feeding: 42 ml given over 45 minutes every 3 hours

Oxygen Flow: 4 liters/minute

Oxygen Amount: 24%

It was a busy night in our NICU room. Lots of parents at once. Our nurse, Adrianna, got held up with another care time, so she asked Angie to come and take care of Matthew’s cares, and we just adored her. We’ve gotten to work with her before and she is fantastic. She is just the absolute sweetest with Matthew, and I feel like she talks to him the same way I do. We loved working with her and then getting to chat with Adrianna as well toward the end of the evening. Two wonderful nurses tonight.😇

Matthew did great tonight. He was more interested in sucking on his own tongue than breastfeeding, but he still got an A for effort. 🙌 He was also a little restless again during skin-to-skin, so Angie swaddled him and got him in a comfortable position in my arms while I pumped.
