They changed his feeding amount/schedule to be closer to what it will be when he goes home.
He’s been receiving about 27 ml of calories (human milk fortifier) added to his milk. He will go down to 24 ml of calories but up in volume to 37 ml of milk (given every 3 hours with a gavage time of 45 minutes).

He also got another Darbe shot to encourage the production of more red blood cells.

Matthew had some weird breathing going on tonight. He was breathing really quickly. It was almost like panting. A Respiratory Therapist came in and suctioned out his nose, which helped him breathe better I’m sure, since she got a lot of stuff out. He still kept breathing fast though. His nurse, Adrianna, said it was probably just from his little body working hard but that she’d keep a close eye on him and see how he does. She is always very attentive, so I know he’s in good hands tonight:)
